Clinical Administrative Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an assigned unit or clinic section within a hospital. Schedules employee shifts and ensures admitting and discharge functions are providing for optimal patient flow. Being a Clinical Administrative Coordinator ensures that hospital resources are being used in the most efficient manner. Assigns patients to appropriate health practitioners. Additionally, Clinical Administrative Coordinator may perform other administrative functions as necessary. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Clinical Administrative Coordinator typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Provides administrative support to the appropriate administrative official by providing information and reports related to clinic or department operations.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university; or six (6) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
An additional two (2) years of experience in a related field.
COMPUTER SKILLS
An individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA); or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report; or listed on the GSA's List of Excluded Providers; or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE). Educated and compliant with HIPAA regulations; maintains strict confidentiality of client information.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
