Schedules employee shifts and ensures admitting and discharge functions are providing for optimal patient flow. Being a Clinical Administrative Coordinator ensures that hospital resources are being used in the most efficient manner. Assigns patients to appropriate health practitioners. Additionally, Clinical Administrative Coordinator may perform other administrative functions as necessary. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Clinical Administrative Coordinator typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. In this role, you will manage the front desk while also providing administrative support to their small but mighty team.
A typical day may included responsibilities such as:
- Answer a multi-line phone system and manage messages
- Greet visitors and clients of the firm
- Schedule appointments and manage calendars for multiple staff
- Data entry
- Prepare client information through Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Receive and distribute incoming and outgoing mail
- Receive and reconcile payments
- Distribute prepared client information
- Manage recordkeeping and master client files
- Work with external vendors for purpose of order office supplies, etc
- Perform other administrative duties and tasks as they arise
