Responsibilities may include overseeing all aspects of health system CDM reading, interpreting, and distributing payer coding and reimbursement information, recommending and implementing pricing changes to optimize CPT / DX codes and all other payer reimbursement, performing data quality review for department chargemasters to validate CPT and HCPCS Level II code and modifier assignments, coordinating efforts dealing with Medicare Outpatient Prospective Payment System OPPS, and working closely and cross collaborate with both the the Revenue Cycle department and Service Line departments. The Charge Master Coordinator will join the revenue cycle team.
