Clinical Administrative Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an assigned unit or clinic section within a hospital. Schedules employee shifts and ensures admitting and discharge functions are providing for optimal patient flow. Being a Clinical Administrative Coordinator ensures that hospital resources are being used in the most efficient manner. Assigns patients to appropriate health practitioners. Additionally, Clinical Administrative Coordinator may perform other administrative functions as necessary. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Clinical Administrative Coordinator typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience.   • A Day in the Life of a Stroke Clinical Coordinator:

    The Stroke Clinical Coordinator provides clinical expertise, leadership, guided by clinical standards, ensures integration, standardization, and continuity in stroke care for patients across the continuum starting at admission and continued after discharge. The Coordinator participates in the development, administration, and evaluation of ongoing evidenced-based stroke education. This person will collaborate in data analysis, reporting, integrity, reliability, and compliance activities according to standards set the Joint Commission. The Coordinator will report to the Manager of Specialty Certification Programs and work in collaboration with various departments throughout the organization.

    Here Is What You Will Be Doing:

    • Responsible for collaborating, managing, and coordinating quality improvement efforts for the early identification and treatment of stroke care in alignment with Primary Stroke Center quality measures.
    • Participates in ongoing surveillance of stroke care, order sets, policies, procedures, and practices to ensure safe quality care to stroke patients, ensuring consistency and continuity
    • Participates in ensuring the assessment, management, implementation, and evaluation of interventions set forth by CMS and the Joint Commission for Primary Stroke Center certification as a member of the multi-disciplinary team
    • Integrates relevant research and clinical expertise into present practice. Responsible for providing staff with education on current best-practice, evidence-based research across all professional levels.
    • Monitors clinical indicators on all stroke patients and participates in data collection, trending, and analysis regarding the on-going development, effectiveness, and outcomes of the clinical care program including, for example, mortality rates, outcomes and process measures.
    • Collaborates with the quality and performance improvement department(s) to foster continuous quality improvement efforts designed to improve patient outcomes. Participates in organizational quality improvement report-out structure(s).
    • Participates in on-going staff educational opportunities and analyzes opportunities for improvement then designs and implements initiatives to improve the process of care defined for stroke patients and departments in accordance with Primary Stroke Center recommendations to achieve specific quality and patient safety targets.
    • Maintains patient follow-up structure post hospitalization including establishment of patient call back structure post hospitalization.
    • Responsible for coordinating community outreach education, support and events.
    • Participates in seeking grant funding in accordance with community and program needs to promote adequate and excellent care delivery, education, and training related to stroke services

    • Expert knowledge and ability to sufficient to develop and apply procedures in complex assignments
    • Ability to provide clinical and community education
    • Excellent computer skills with experience in data collection, interpretation and analyzing
    • Professional knowledge and technical ability to analyze, design, test and implement systems and applications
    • Demonstrate an independent work initiative, sound judgment and attention to detail
    • Ability to handle multiple task simultaneously

    Here Is What You Will Need:

    • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited school of nursing
    • Minimum of a current Wyoming Registered Nurse License or enhanced Nurse Licensure (eNLC) upon start date
    • Cheyenne Regional RQI within 14 calendar days of hire
    • NIH Stroke Scale Certification
    • Two years’ experience in neurosciences, critical care, or emergency nursing

    Nice To Have:

    • Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse (CNRN), or Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN), or Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN)
