Client Technologies Technician, Sr. maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots desktop hardware and software packages. Interacts with end-users to identify current computing procedures and desktop-based LAN systems software operations and makes selection recommendations accordingly. Being a Client Technologies Technician, Sr. is responsible for writing documentation to describe product corrections. Writes manual for end-users to describe installation and operating procedures. Additionally, Client Technologies Technician, Sr. requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Familiar with the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Typically reports to a manager. To be a Client Technologies Technician, Sr. typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Installation Technician

    QComp Technologies is a robotic systems integrator in the Fox Valley that serves clients throughout the United States and Canada. Our company, which is based in Greenville, has approximately 35 employees and provides robotic packaging systems, material handling systems and automation line integration for clients in the flat glass, solar, consumer products, food, pharmaceutical, plastics, paper, and metals industries.

    In an effort to support our continued growth, we have created an excellent opportunity for an individual to join the QComp team as an Installation Technician.

    In this role, you will be involved with the mechanical assembly and wiring of customer robotic machinery and industrial control panels, control stations and related components in the shop and at the end customer facility.

    QComp Technologies recently added a 2,500 square foot addition to their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Appleton, Wisconsin, which brings their total plant capacity to 30,000 square feet. QComp engineers, programs, assembles, stages and tests the complete robot cell at the Appleton location, in our environmentally controlled shop.

    • Performing mechanical and eletrical assembly in the shop and in the field
    • Preparing systems for power up; basic I/O checks, verifying pneumatic and mechanical completion of the system
    • Performing quality checks to meet industry standards
    • Following the robotics system from QComp’s shop to the customer site to supervise proper alignment and installation
    • Interfacing with our Engineers to provide a smooth handoff at installation
    • Working closely with and communicating with all the talent that makes up the QComp team
    • Ensure that design changes are documented and implemented
    • Provide support for inhouse research and development projects

    Qualifications & Experience you bring…

    • High School Diploma, GED or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED)
    • Ability to read blueprints
    • Show attention to detail to meet industry standards
    • Ability to follow instructions to complete assignments
    • Previous experience with mechanical or electrical assembly is required
    • Working knowledge of common hand and power tools and experience with manual vertical milling machine, lathe, drill press and welding preferred
    • Willingness to travel 15-40% of the time is required
