Client Technologies Technician, Sr. maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots desktop hardware and software packages. Interacts with end-users to identify current computing procedures and desktop-based LAN systems software operations and makes selection recommendations accordingly. Being a Client Technologies Technician, Sr. is responsible for writing documentation to describe product corrections. Writes manual for end-users to describe installation and operating procedures. Additionally, Client Technologies Technician, Sr. requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Familiar with the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Typically reports to a manager. To be a Client Technologies Technician, Sr. typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Body Technician

  • Responsibilities

    • Assist Service Advisors in assessing damage to vehicles prior to repair.
    • Make Cosmetic repairs.
    • Use special equipment to restore damaged metal frames and body sections back to original specifications.
    • Ability to develop appropriate and efficient methods for each job.
    • Ensure all needed repairs are identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.
    • Plan work procedure: follow work order for all operations listed.
    • Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window and seat operating equipment and trim to gain access to damaged area of vehicle if needed. Store parts on carts or cover to eliminate potential damage.
    • Mend damaged body and fenders by hammering out or filling in dents and welding broken parts; ensure all gaps and fits are to industry standards.
    • Operate a variety of hand and power tools (e.g. welder, soldering equipment, cutting torch, blocks, hammers, wrenches, sander, spray guns, etc.)
    • Fill depressions with body filler.
    • Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills; and bolts or welds replacement parts in position and reassemble after parts are painted; ensure all gaps and fills are to industry standards.
    • File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces with 120-grit paper before turning vehicle over to the Paint Dept.
    • Aim headlamps and repair or replace defective parts.
    • Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to check for compliance with safety and quality standards.
    • Comply with all Caliber safety rules, guidelines and standards
    • Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient and effective repair.
    • Other duties may be assigned as necessary

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • 1-4 years body shop experience strongly preferred.

    Physical & Environmental

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, and is required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, sit, and walk occasionally for long periods at a time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. In addition, abilities for assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned is required.
