POSITION SUMMARY
With limited supervision and direction, performs various complex/integrated clerical computer and client-centered communication functions supportive of clinical, program and Department services.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
Provides no direct supervision of Health Department staff.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
This position is under the supervision of the assigned Manager and Divisional Director with limited guidance and direction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Facilitates client/family acquisition of anticipated complex/integrated services/programs
2. Screens clients/families for complex/integrated services/programs
3. Enrolls clients/families for complex/integrated services/programs
4. Documents client/family specific information for complex/integrated services/programs
5. Assists with the maintenance of the Health Information System procedures and tasks.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
An Associate Degree in Business with two (2) years related experience, medical billing experience preferred, – OR
Graduation from high school, the equivalent of one (1) year additional education in business school or successful completion of a secretarial training program with proficiency in computer word processing operations and three (3) years of related experience, medical billing experience preferred, – OR
Graduation from high school with four (4) years of related experience, medical billing experience preferred, – AND
Proficiency in various word processing programs with the ability to accurately type 50 wpm.
