Client/Server Operations Supervisor supervises and provides work direction to mainframe and client server operations. Monitors systems performance, and ensures applications stability through the effective use of personal computers, servers, and technical services. Being a Client/Server Operations Supervisor work involves making decisions on personnel actions such as hiring, terminations, and promotions, developing operational policies and procedures, and determining most efficient utilization of personnel and equipment. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Client/Server Operations Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Client/Server Operations Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.
