Client/Server Operations Manager plans, manages and provides work direction to mainframe and client/server operations. Establishes guidelines to monitors systems performance, and ensures applications stability through the effective use of personal computers, servers, and technical services. Being a Client/Server Operations Manager develops operational policies and procedures, and determines most efficient utilization of personnel and equipment. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Client/Server Operations Manager typically reports to top management. The Client/Server Operations Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.
