Client/Server Architect provides expert judgment and analysis for the design, development and implementation of client/server systems. Analyzes client/server requirements to ensure the system meets performance needs. Being a Client/Server Architect recommends technology purchases that will support and enhance the client/server system. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Client/Server Architect is familiar with relational databases and client-server concepts. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Client/Server Architect typically requires 7+ years of related experience. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is highly independent.     Salary: $125,000

    Position Overview:
    The person in this position is responsible for performing analysis, modification, documentation, and support of daily operations for the data warehousing and reporting system.

    Job Duties:

    • Responsibilities include supporting the data development/sustainment lifecycle, including data profiling, ETL and data model design and development/sustainment, testing, and support.
    • Achieves organizational goals by defining, integrating, and upgrading a comprehensive architecture to support applications, platforms, and databases.
    • Maintains database by determining structural requirements and developing and installing solutions.
    • Ensures security of all information and computer systems and digital data.
    • Ensures adherence to government regulations and guidelines for technological systems and safeguarding of data.
    • Trouble shoots and finds solutions for computer systems issues that affect data storage as they arise.
    • Recommends upgrades and systems for purchase.
    • Studies organizational mission, goals, and business drivers, and confers with senior management to understand information requirements.
    • Defines infrastructure for design and integration of internet computing systems by analyzing information requirements, studying business operations and user-interface requirements, and directing development of physical database.
    • Confirms architecture capability and flexibility to support high availability web applications by developing analytical models and completing validation tests.
    • Determines platform architecture, technology, and tools.

    Job Requirements:
    • Educational requirements include a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or the equivalent experience in software analysis and programming.
    • Experience with relational database design/modeling using tools.
    • Expert-level SQL coding/querying skills in SQL Server and/or MySQL
    • Understanding of data analysis, business principles, and operations
    • Software architecture and design
    • Network design and implementation
    • Ability to clearly present technical information to fellow technical professionals as well as non-technical peers

    Required Qualifications:
    • Sec CE certification
    • Clearable US Citizen that is able to pass a background investigation in order to obtain a DOD Secret security clearance.
