Hobbs Black Architects is seeking an Architect to join its team. This position will be exposed to a broad range of architectural projects from planning and design inception through construction completion in a variety of market sectors.
Architectural background and work experience is required. This position is comparable to AIA Architect Level I and Architect Level II (licensed, or non-licensed) defined positions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Effectively communicate and coordinate with project team, consultants, and clients.
Prepare complex architectural construction drawings for new construction, renovation, and adaptive reuse projects.
Maintain project schedules, cost projections, and budget estimates.
Conduct site planning and zoning research.
Attend planning and zoning, and/or municipal meetings.
Develop technical solutions for projects.
Develop and draft architectural plans and details.
Preparation of bid packages.
Perform construction administration tasks, including submittal review, fieldwork, and documentation.
Maintains and complies with Hobbs Black and client project standards.
Competent project time and expense documentation skills.
Reports to the studio leader and/or principal in charge of assigned project.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field with architecture experience.
6 years of technical work experience post-graduate is required.
Technical knowledge, development, coordination, and review of construction documentation.
Technical proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
Technical problem-solving skills.
Proficient in building codes and ADA requirements.
Consistent ability to successfully meet deadlines.
Effective communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams.
Architectural license preferred or equivalent experience.
