We are looking for a Clerical Assistant to join our team to assist a radiation therapist by performing administrative duties.
What will you do?
· Prepare rooms for patient therapy.
· Clean treatment rooms following patient therapy.
· Record patient visit notes and results in patient medical files.
· Prepare patient charts.
· Scan and file information.
· Submit patient information for verification of benefits.
· Maintain pending and on-going patient leads.
· Order and maintain office and medical supplies.
· Clean and sterilize medical equipment.
· Properly dispose of contaminated supplies.
· Evaluate office scheduling to verify physician supervision coverage.
· Schedule patient appointments.
· Collaborate with Claims Integrity Department for compliance and accuracy.
· Collaborate with team for pathology results.
· Collaborate with team to communicate financial payment options.
· Multitask; maintain ability to prioritize tasks.
· Maintain organization of workflow.
· Communicate effectively and contribute to effectiveness and efficiency of the department.
Job Qualifications
· Education: Associates or Certificate (optional)
· Experience: 1 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
· Familiar with medical terminology
· Familiar with medical EMR system required
· Familiar with medical devices
· Licenses/Certifications: Certification or Associates Degree (optional)
