Claims Quality Audit Supervisor supervises and coordinates daily activities of claims quality auditors. Provides assistance in developing claims audit policies and procedures. Being a Claims Quality Audit Supervisor solves day-to-day problems and monitors the results of daily staff activities, reports critical issues and problems to the management. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Claims Quality Audit Supervisor typically reports to a manager. The Claims Quality Audit Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.     About this job

    We are looking to hire a Claims professional to join our claims team based in Stamford, CT reporting to our Team Leader of Insurance Claims.

    We are a global, diversified reinsurer with an expanding variety of insurance products including direct MGA business.     In this role you will be primarily focused on administering the claims activity stemming from a portfolio which will include Casualty claims stemming from General Liability lines of business from a variety of programs. In this capacity, you will evaluate the claims, manage any litigation and collaborate with our internal and external business partners. 

     

    About the role

    In more detail your responsibilities will be to:

    • Manage claims in conjunction with contracted Third Party Administrators (TPA)
    • Identify, analyze and appropriately address coverage issues under the affected coverage forms. Work to effectively communicate coverage positions to insureds and brokers either directly or through TPAs.
    • Manage the claim investigation and/or litigation, addressing liability and damage issues to assess exposure on potentially high severity files
    • Collaborates well with internal business partners on existing/ongoing claims as well as identify general trends and developments within the portfolio.
    • Sets timely and appropriate reserves within authority or makes recommendations for the appropriate action plan on potentially high severity claims.
    • Provides outstanding customer service and works well with the insured, broker/MGA/TPA during the adjustment of claims.
    • Travel for settlement conferences, mediations, and trials as needed.

    Qualifications

    About you

    • Should have experience in General Liability claims issues, coverage and liability aspects  
    • 5 -10 years of claim handling experience, with prior experience handling claim files in a carrier environment is required
    • College degree ;  
    • Ability to think and work independently
    • Excellent interpersonal communications and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to work with a variety of accounts and brokers in a professional manner
    • Strong team player

    Additional Information

    PartnerRe offers its staff a hybrid work environment. You will be required to work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. Monday & Friday are remote work days.
