The Supervisor- Central Sterile Processing, directs the flow of the department to include making assignments of staff, coordinate surgical needs between Sterile Processing and the Operating Room at Stamford Hospital main campus.
Responsible for performing a variety of duties associated with the efficient operation of the Sterile Processing Department in order to ensure high quality product delivery and efficient service to customers. Responsible for the supervision and training pertaining to all aspects of sterile processing to include the decontamination, preparation packaging sterilization and sterile storage. Operates and trouble shoots the equipment specific to Sterile Processing. Responsible for scheduling of staff and participates in the candidate selection process, orientation and performance evaluation. Ensures personal and team competency in all sterilization processes. Must be conscientious with regard to procedures and capable of accepting assignments to all duties relative to the department and carry a department communication device.
Schedule: Evenings- 3am to 11pm. Monday through Friday. Full time.

Qualifications for Internal Candidates
1) Equivalent to an associate degree, requires knowledge of a specialized field.
2) Must have Sterile Processing Certification.
3) Must have previous leadership experience; supervisory experience preferred
4) 5-7 years’ experience in Sterile Processing Department
