The Assistant Director will manage the Gift Processing department, as well as personally batching and processing gifts, pledges, payments, and planned gifts into the Raiser’s Edge CRM. The Assistant Director will also take a leading role in data management and compliance— executing validation and QA processes to ensure the constituent and gift records are accurate and up to date as well as sharing responsibility for the management of documentation and record keeping, ensuring compliance to donor intention.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Familiarity with relational databases required—knowledge of Raiser’s Edge NXT database preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft suite, especially Excel, required.
- Have the ability to effectively manage multiple projects from multiple people and respond with flexibility as priorities shift.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies or tools
- Be a self-starter who is well-organized, attentive to detail, and able to follow through to task completion.
- Be familiar and comfortable with financial closing cycles and adherence to tight deadlines
- Be comfortable with numbers and able to assist in providing accurate and detailed accounting of gift and pledge data
- Be able to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, as well as edit written communications.
- Ability to work well with all levels of staff and various constituencies campus wide
- Be able to maintain confidentiality and discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in higher education and/or fundraising/advancement, including an understanding of advancement processes and terminology.
- Experience working with confidential material is preferred.
- Experience in creating technical training documentation is helpful

When determining and establishing hiring rates or recruitment ranges for a position, the College considers a number of factors including the budget for the position, the range of the grade, the external market for the position or similar positions, level and scope of responsibilities, required education, skills and relevant experience as well as internal equity. All salary offers must have the prior approval of the Office of Human Resources.
The anticipated salary for this position is $50,000 – $55.000.
The salary for this position will be commensurate with the qualifications, education and experience.
Physical Demands
During peak periods (November, December, May, June) may require more than 35 hours per week.
