Claims Processing Director plans and directs one or more departments responsible for administration of health insurance claims, payment processing, billing research, and responding to inquiries. Establishes and implements organizational policies and procedures; may offer guidance on the appropriate handling of complex or high-value claims. Being a Claims Processing Director develops and executes strategic business plans for the department. Coordinates operations with other areas of the organization. Additionally, Claims Processing Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Claims Processing Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Claims Processing Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     PeaceHealth is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The general salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $24.06 – $36.08. The actual hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the job/position responsibilities, location, terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement, education, training, work experience, seniority, work performance, etc.

    Job Summary

    Responsible for operating autoclaves and other equipment to clean, decontaminate and sterilize instruments and equipment, including power equipment as applicable. Also responsible for inspecting and assembling instruments, trays and packs.

    Essential Functions

    • Responsible for the coordination, assembly and distribution of supplies, equipment and instruments for surgical cases.
    • Re-stocking inventory.
    • Cleaning, decontaminating, disassembling and sterilizing instruments and supplies.
    • Operate a variety of sterilization equipment.
    • Clean and maintain department equipment.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education

    • High School Diploma Preferred: or equivalent

    Experience

    • Preferred: Completion of a National Central Service Technician course and/or six months experience as a Sterile Process Technician

    Credentials

    • Required within 1 Year: Natl Sterile Processing/Distribution Certification IAHCSMM, CBSPD or other nationally recognized certifying body

    Skills

    • Basic computer skills including MS Office applications. (Required)
    • Demonstrated proficiency in verbal and written communications in English required. (Required)

    Working Conditions

    Lifting

    • Ability to move around area with occasional sitting.
    • Fine motor skills to be able to grasp and control medical equipment, frequently.
    • Lift/Carry: Frequently up to 5 lbs.
    • Push/Pull: Frequently up to 10 lbs. force.
    • Reaching frequently.
    • Squat/ kneel occasionally.

    Environmental Conditions

    • Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles.
    • Exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals.

    Mental/Visual

    • Vision and hearing required within normal limits (glasses, contacts, hearing aids permitted).
    • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
