Description

Verus Claims Reviewers are responsible for first review and data capture for all types of submitted documentation related to current case management and settlement administration projects. Claims Reviewers verify information, identify discrepancies and/or lack of information in claimant documentation, and provide administrative support to the Operations department. The team relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

1. Data entry, annotation and review of documentation submitted for various Verus administered projects. 
2. Recognize discrepancies or lack of information within claim documentation and take appropriate action.
3. Communicates with law firms via application notes.
4. Contact claimants via phone to obtain/verify information when necessary.
5. Maintain acceptable levels of productivity and accuracy.
6. Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, mailing, scanning, filing, and contacting claimants as needed via phone and email.
7. Other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Attention to detail with basic analytical skills.
• Adaptability to changing policies, procedures and applications.
• Effective communication.
• Strong computer skills.
• Maintain acceptable levels of productivity and accuracy.
• Ability to clearly communicate via phone.
• Willing to work normal business hours.
• Prior experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.

Working Conditions

Normal business office conditions, including working for prolonged periods of time at a computer screen.   

This is a hybrid role, consisting of an in-office and work from home schedule.
