Civil Engineering Technician jobs in New Jersey

The Civil Technician will be responsible for conducting land surveying activities, and will also be required to collect and compile data for project management. Additionally, the Civil Technician will be responsible for performing layout, as well as stake-out and record-of-site survey work as required. An ideal candidate will have civil technician certification and experience with topographic, hydrographic and aerotriangulation survey techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Calculate grades and volumes of earth materials.
• Provide technical support to construction and development projects.
• Perform geological surveys.
• Explain geological theories to those in the construction industry.
• Confer with customers about technical issues.
• Communicate with coworkers about the work that occurs during a project.
• Participate in maintenance of office automation equipment.
• Communicate with coworkers about the performance of a project.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
