Ensures maintenance of equipment and adherence to safety prevention measures. Being a Civil Engineering Supervisor monitors personnel needs and schedules staff accordingly. Also responsible for preparing proposals, establishing completion dates and cost estimates, and evaluation results. Additionally, Civil Engineering Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. Typically requires the Certified Professional Engineer (PE) credential. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. As a Project Manager for CEC, you’ll work with project teams to create land development plans for our commercial, institutional, and residential clients. From an urban redevelopment site to a new school project, you’ll take part in designing site layouts, grading plans, storm water management facilities, water quality best management practices, erosion and sediment control plans, and utility layout. In addition, you'll be interacting with clients, contractors, local government officials; impacting the whole project - from conceptual and design phases, through the regulatory review process, bidding, and construction - all the way to the grand opening.
