The primary duties and responsibilities will be with the Engineering Division of the Department of Public Works (DPW).
Under the supervision of the Commissioner of Public Works, the Civil Engineer shall perform work within the Engineering Division related to the planning, survey, design, contract specification, bidding, construction, and operation of streets, sidewalks, drainage systems, street lights, traffic controls, and other public works infrastructure. S/he shall have a prominent role in the permitting and construction administration of the City’s various infrastructure projects and will interact directly with the public, contractors and other DPW personnel.
