Civil Engineer designs and supervises construction projects such as airports, bridges, channels, dams, railroads, or roads. Reviews designs, tests and assesses materials, and performs necessary data collection and calculations in areas such as traffic forecasting, soil capacity, groundwater analysis, and structure design. Being a Civil Engineer responsibilities also include estimating costs, estimating personnel and material needs, preparing proposals, and establishing completion dates. May also assist in inspecting aging infrastructure or overseeing improvement projects. Additionally, Civil Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. May require a Professional Engineer License (PE). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Civil Engineer work is closely managed.     Job Details

    We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our team in the Engineering industry. As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet all required safety standards. You will work closely with other members of our team, including project managers, architects, and contractors, to ensure the success of our projects.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design and oversee construction projects, including roadway and highway design, using AutoCad and Civil 3D software.
    • Ensure projects meet all required safety standards and regulations.
    • Work closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
    • Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
    • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure work is being completed according to plans.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and drafters.
    • Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure projects are aligned with overall company goals.
    • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in civil engineering technology.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
    • 3 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on roadway and highway design.
    • Proficiency in AutoCad and Civil 3D software.
    • Knowledge of ITD regulations and standards.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
