Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D., M.D./D.O., or equivalent terminal degree in the biomedical sciences
- Evidence of substantial formal training in human anatomy
Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants with one or more of the following additional attributes:
- Experience in teaching clinically-integrated anatomy or other anatomical sciences (embryology, gross anatomy, histology, neuroanatomy)
- Formal training or experience in educational theory, instructional design, and/or evaluation and assessment
- A track record of scholarship related to biomedical or educational sciences
- Experience with computer, virtual, or simulation-based instruction
Physician candidates applying must be Board Certified (ABMS recognized), must qualify for an unrestricted Alabama Medical License, and must agree to obtain an unrestricted Alabama Medical License within 2 years of employment.
