Being a Childbirth Educator reviews class material and recommends changes based on educational standards. May assist in developing new content. Additionally, Childbirth Educator may require a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Childbirth Educator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Preferred Education and experience as follows:
BSN degree with a minimum of four years of recent clinical nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics, preferably in outpatient setting.
OR MSN degree with a minimum of three years recent nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics, preferably outpatient setting.
Will Consider: ADN degree with a minimum of five years recent nursing experience; a minimum of 3 years in pediatric subspecialty preferred.
