Being a Childbirth Educator reviews class material and recommends changes based on educational standards. May assist in developing new content. Additionally, Childbirth Educator may require a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Childbirth Educator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     • Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries
      • Current RN License in the State of Alabama
      • Current BLS certificate required, BLS Instructor preferred.
      • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist” (CDCES) required
      • o Must obtain within 3 years of assuming the role.
