    Starting Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour (Subject to pay increase January 2024)

    Position is located in Santa Rosa

    Office Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30 AM – 5 PM

    The Community Child Care Council is looking for a Resource Specialist to join the

    4Cs team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service to clients,

    providers, and community members. In addition to answering department phone

    calls, the Resource Specialist is responsible for updating the Childcare Eligibility List

    (CEL). The Specialist may have additional program responsibilities, such as Case

    Management, CCIP, etc.

    PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide information and referrals to persons seeking child care and related

    services primarily by phone.

    • Provide training information and resources to child care providers by phone,

    in-person or via Zoom.

    • Accurately add family information into the Childcare Eligibility List (CEL) and

    update as needed.

    • Provide coverage to Front Desk staff on lunches and breaks, as needed.
    • Maintain up to date information on family child care homes and centers in

    our service area using the R&R database.

    • Provide community resources information to clients, parents, providers, and

    staff.

    • Serve as back up for the Resource Library and Trustline Registry and may

    back up primary Trustline contact for Spanish speaking providers.

    • Additional program responsibilities as needed, such as Case Management,

    CCIP, etc.

    • Prepare program reports monthly, as needed.
    • Comply with all applicable program regulations and Funding Terms and

    Conditions.


    • Provide excellent customer service, including but not limited to, having a

    friendly and approachable tone of voice and body language, returning phone

    calls within twenty-four hours of receipt of the call, and maintaining positive

    interactions with others.

    • Serve on a minimum of one agency or department committee.
    • Assist Supervisor and other team members with department duties as

    assigned.

    • Attend and participate in department staff meetings, monthly all office staff

    meetings, and department retreats.

    • Participate at 4Cs community outreach events for a minimum of eight hours

    per year.

    Additional Level 2 Duties and Responsibilities
    • Provides input to supervisors on the continued development and

    improvement of department procedures, staff coverage and annual program

    requirements.

    • Responsible for additional data entry projects.
    • Responsible for basic reporting such as pulling names, phone numbers

    and/or address from CEL and Pin Point Care (PPC) for phone trees.

    • Assist with basic training for new staff.
    • Represent 4Cs at community functions and functions as liaison with related

    child care agencies, as requested and participate in provider trainings

    approximately once per month.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • None

    SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

    • REQUIRED: Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills

    in English and Spanish.

    • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, e-mail, and internet.

    Basic knowledge of office equipment.

    • Detail oriented. Demonstrated accuracy with data input.
    • Excellent customer services skills.


    • Experience and ability to work well as a team and with people from various

    social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds.

    • Knowledge of current trends in child care and child development.
    • Valid California Driver’s License and insured vehicle.
    • Available to work some evening and weekend hours, as needed.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • Minimum 24 ECE units and/or 2 years' experience in a social service or child

    care agency.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • Office Environment
    • Work From Home (WFH)

    PHYSICAL REQUIEMENTS:

    • Ability to fulfill physical requirements of the job including lifting up to 35

    pounds on occasion, range of movement including squatting, bending,

    reaching, standing, and sitting.

    TRAVEL:

    • Occasionally, 10% for training or staff meetings.
