Position Summary:
The Manager will be accountable for the development and operational leadership of the Child Life department at Mary Bridge Childrens Health Network. This individual is responsible for the administrative and clinical supervision of this program and also has oversight over Mary Bridge volunteers and special visitors from the community. Additionally, they will liaison with MultiCare Health System (MHS) Patient Experience and Mary Bridge operational leaders for creating and improving the patient and family experience. They will apply the knowledge and skills necessary to lead a team of professionals that provide age-appropriate care and advocacy for patients and their families. In addition, this position is also responsible to promote family-centered care practices and leadership to ensure that Child Life spaces reflect the high MHS standards of excellence.
Minimum Requirements:
Five (5) years of experience as a Child Life Specialist
Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or lead capacity
Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Bachelors Degree required
Master's degree in a relevant subject area such as Nursing, Child Life, Social Work, Psychology, Healthcare Administration preferred
