Director of Child Development-
Location: Wirtzie’s Surprise, AZ Mon-Fri FT 40 hrs week $54,371.20 py
What will you be doing?
The director is responsible for oversight and management of Wirtzie’s
Child Development Center. Key responsibilities include affirming the organization’s values; establishing goals, standards and performance measures; and ensuring high quality programs delivered in a caring, cost-effective and efficient manner. The director will develop strategies to achieve and maintain full enrollment capacity.
What qualifications do you need?
- Able to reliably commute or planning to relocate to Peoria/Sun City/Surprise, AZ area before starting work. (No Relocation Assistance)
- Bachelor’s Degree in higher or early childhood education/child development, or a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field, with 12 college credits (semester hours) in early childhood education/child development; and 6 college credits (semester hours) in business administration/program management; or 9 CEU’s in business administration/program management; or a state-approved Director/Administrator Credential;
- Requires minimum of one year experience in administration of an early childhood program; and a minimum of 2 years of teaching in an early care and education classroom.
- Possess or able to receive:
- Fingerprint Clearance Card,
- CPR,
- Negative TB/Chest X-Ray,
- Article 9 Certification
- Food Handler’s Certification (*Benevilla will assist with the costs to obtain)
