Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Child Care Director to oversee the operations of our child care center. The Child Care Director will be responsible for managing the daily activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing a safe and nurturing environment for children. This is a full-time position.
Duties:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the child care center
- Supervise and support child care staff, providing guidance and training as needed
- Create and maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children
- Collaborate with parents to address any concerns or issues related to their child's development or well-being
- Plan and coordinate educational programs that promote learning and development
- Monitor compliance with licensing requirements and maintain accurate records
- Manage budgets and financial operations of the child care center
- Stay up-to-date with current trends and best practices in early childhood education
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- At least 21 years of age
-Experience in an administrative role in an early childhood center.
-Successful completion of 15-clock hours of accepted training in infant or toddler development and curriculum
-Successful completion of 15-clock hours of accepted training in school-age care.
- Bachelor's degree or associates degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Successful completion of at least 15 credits from a regionally accredited college or university with at least 3 credits in each of the following areas: child development/learning, environment/curriculum, social-emotional development, observation/assessment; and at least one 3 hour early childhood elective.
