Our state of the art Oral Surgery Practice HAS BEEN TAKING CARE OF PATIENTS for 30 years. We are the same team with a new name.

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our surgical assisting team. This is a 4 day per week position at our Barnes Rd. office.

If you have oral surgery experience, this is a wonderful opportunity to learn more and do more, we take pride in our team and helping team members advance in their dental assisting career.

If you have your X-RAY certification and a minimum of one year oral surgery experience, we would love to meet you. EFDA is a plus but not required. X-RAY certification is mandatory.

Wage is $29 to $33.

ASSISTANT RESPONSIBILITIES AND PATIENT CARE:

• Ability to work well under stressful and emergency situations.
• Able to act quickly and accurately.
• Exhibit manual dexterity.
• Physical stamina.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Empathy.
• Ensure patients are comfortable in the dental chair.
• Prepare patients and the work area for treatment and procedures.
• Sterilize dental instruments.
• Hand instruments to dentist during procedures.
• Dry patients' mouths using suction and other equipment.
• Taking Digital x-rays
• Review patient's health history during the initial consultation
• Educate patient about procedures and post-operative instructions
• BLS/ACLS certified
• Excellent computer skills
• Positive Attitude
• Compassionate
• Team player

DENTAL ASSISTANT ROLE: involves performing administrative and technical responsibilities, so the dentist can focus on the patient and has the dental equipment, tools, and information he/she needs.
