    Job Responsibilities
    • Develops departmental goals and objectives consistent with medical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements of the health care delivery system.
    • Directs and/or assists in prompt resolution of issues and complaints.
    • Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care services in assigned areas of responsibility.
    • Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services.
    • Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, corrective actions, and continuing education initiatives.
    • Monitors and adheres to annual hospital operating budget. Approves and/or monitors expenditures, purchases, and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
    • Ensures a high level of patient care is maintained in assigned areas of responsibility through coordination and management of personnel and resources.
    • Uses sound business and clinical management strategies to maintain and improve quality; ensures appropriate access; meets established financial goals; develops, implements, and communicates a service line plan, which is aligned with and supports corporate goals.
    • Performs job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act.
    • Works autonomously within a stressful environment.
    • Align nursing leadership decisions with OH strategic imperatives.
    • Assist in developing initiatives to support the strategic priorities for nursing and updating the nursing strategic framework.
    • Implement the vision and strategic plan for patient care.
    • Support shared governance to engage all nurses in decision-making and problem-solving.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing required upon hire OR
    • Master's degree or higher in nursing related field required upon hire
    • A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience required
    • RN - Licensed as a Registered Nurse. Eligible to practice nursing in the State of Kentucky required upon hire
