Maintains the required FAA records and documentation for certifications, crews, flight times, aircraft, and activity. Being a Chief Pilot (Jet Fleet) keeps informed about current aviation developments and regulations that impact flight operations. Coordinates pilot training and development plans to ensure all are ready for flight duty. Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) located in Norfolk, VA. As the CFO, you will be responsible for financial planning, preparing financial statements, conducting financial reporting, and utilizing analytical skills to support strategic decision-making. You will oversee the finance department and collaborate with other senior leaders to drive financial performance and optimize business operations. The Chief Financial Officer will become a key member on the high-performing senior leadership team, becoming a strategic business partner to the CEO and Board of Directors.

• Establishes, tracks, and improves the key financial metrics for the Company and communicates process improvement opportunities to the leadership team and the Board of Directors.
• Standardizes reporting processes, controls, and business analyses across the business.
• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs, and evaluates the Company's fiscal functions from every relevant perspective.
• Develops and analyzes the Company's strategic and tactical growth (organic and M&A) plans.
• Manages treasury, finance, accounting, and compliance staff and functions with the necessary processes and internal controls to safeguard the Company's assets.
• Develops meaningful, timely, and accurate monthly reporting for the leadership team and the Board of Directors; increases the quality of reporting and internal control environments of the Company.
• Leads the Company's bank and audit relationships and oversees the completion of timely annual audited financial statements.
• Leads the Company's annual budgeting and long-term financial planning processes.
• Provides strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the Company (i.e., growth, product, new market expansion, capital reinvestment, M&A).
• Improves the timeliness and accuracy of the Company's cash flow and management of the billing and collections process and month-end, quarterly, and year-end closings.
• Oversees risk and corporate insurance requirements.
• Manages Company benefit plans.
• Ensures compliance with all tax reporting requirements including income tax, franchise tax, sales tax, and employment taxes.
• Coordinates with appropriate legal counsel relating to financial and corporate governance compliance and risk assessment matters.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including financial planning, financial statements, and financial reporting skills
• Strong analytical skills, including variance, budget, and profitability analysis
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; CPA and MBA preferred
• At least ten years of experience in the financial function of an organization
• Experience in the automotive or distribution industry (beneficial)
