Family & Children's Place provides resources, support and solutions to help families prevent and stop child abuse and neglect, and to heal those impacted, by empowering parents and the community to create safe, nurturing environments for children. The work we do helps to save lives in our community. For 140 years, we have worked tirelessly to fulfill our mission: to protect and heal children and families. We serve more than 5,000 children and families annually. Our wide range of programs aim to deal with the trauma of abuse, but equally we work to prevent it. Although we long for the day our services are no longer needed, we understand how critical our services are for children and families in our community.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Family & Children's Place is seeking an innovative Chief Operating Officer with strong leadership skills to oversee the daily management of our programs staff, budget, information technology, and facilities. While working in close collaboration with our CEO, there is a tremendous opportunity to make an immediate impact on our ability to achieve our strategic goals. The COO will help further develop an organizational culture that believes in collaboration, hard work and the value of each team member. Through thoughtfully managing our $11M operating budget, the COO will ensure all our services are impactful for our clients and this community and are consistently allowing us to work toward the goals outlined in our strategic plan. The COO will work with the CEO and the programming team to evaluate existing programs and develop and implement new client programming initiatives that help coordinate external stakeholder and client outreach activities. We have a culture that encourages inclusion. To that end, the COO must understand the need for and support the agency's equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts as well as our trauma-informed services and policies. As this position is critical to our success, it reports directly to the CEO.

Family & Children's Place is prepared to offer a competitive salary in the range of $90,000 -$115,000 commensurate with experience. Benefits include medical insurance, life insurance, vacation and sick time, 403b contribution, and a diverse offering of voluntary benefits.
