Chief Nurse Anesthetist manages and schedules Nurse Anesthetists who plan, arrange and secure necessary anesthesia equipment. Aids Anesthesiologist in organizing courses of instruction for students, and partakes in resulting programs and demonstrations. Being a Chief Nurse Anesthetist prepares reports and compiles data dealing with specific anesthesia, drugs and techniques, and patients' reactions to them. Requires a master's degree. Additionally, Chief Nurse Anesthetist requires Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Chief Nurse Anesthetist typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Chief Nurse Anesthetist typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Job Highlights

    US Anesthesia Partners currently has an exclusive contract with St. Thomas-More Hospital. We offer a variety of cases and our CRNAs work in an independent model. 

     

        • Competitive compensation $200k - $230k based on years of experience
        • Sign-on bonus and student loan repayment options available
        • Relocation bonus to qualifying applicants
        • 10 hour shifts available
        • Call varies; average 1-2 home pager nights per week and a 24 every 5 weeks (call compensated additionally to salary)
        • 6 weeks of PTO starting, increases with years of service
        • 401k match quarterly profit-sharing after 12 months of service
        • CME allowance

    Qualifications

    • All USAP Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist must meet state licensure requirements.
    • CRNAs must complete and meet hospital credentialing requirements for the hospitals they will have privileges.
