Chief Medical Officer directs the staff and develops policies for the organization's clinical programs. Works closely with hospital staff, department directors, and physicians to ensure that the highest standards of quality and service are maintained. Being a Chief Medical Officer oversees the implementation of quality improvement efforts designed to improve clinical performance and maintain compliance with HIPAA and other regulations and standards. Evaluates developments and innovations in medical care and makes recommendations for new practices and procedures. Additionally, Chief Medical Officer advises CEO and medical teams on matters impacting patient care. Requires a MD. Requires State License to Practice Medicine. Typically reports to top management. The Chief Medical Officer manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business.     Operating out of seven locations, we offer medical care (primary care, dental, vision, OB/GYN, telehealth), behavioral health care, 340B pharmacy, nutritional assistance programs, and more. Working hours are Monday - Friday with occasional Saturday morning coverage.

    We are seeking a Chief Medical Officer who will be responsible for the supervision and evaluation of medical practitioners; scheduling practitioners and insuring coverage for patients; and maintaining quality of medical care and for quality assessment.

    ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Supervision of physicians and clinical staff
    • Patient care (8-12 hours)
    • Clinical Protocol Development / Health Care Plan
    • Clinical Computer Development
    • Maintains and insures continuing linkages with secondary and tertiary care resources including consultants and clinical subcontracts.
    • Encourages team approach to patient care needs by cooperating with other staff in implementing holistic approach to health care.
    • Helps to set and monitor budget with CEO and CFO for medical programs.
