Chief Medical Librarian (MLS) manages daily planning, operations, and staff of a medical library to meet the information needs of users. Oversees professional and support staff involved in cataloging, indexing, issuing books/materials, and keeping records of items on loan. Being a Chief Medical Librarian (MLS) selects books and publications for purchase and subscribes to pertinent periodicals as allowed for by the given budget. Responds to more complex requests from faculty, medical staff, and students. Additionally, Chief Medical Librarian (MLS) possess broad and current knowledge of medical developments and scientific literature. Requires a master's degree in library science. Typically reports to a director. The Chief Medical Librarian (MLS) manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Chief Medical Librarian (MLS) typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Position   

    NorthStar Anesthesia is searching for an exceptional Chief CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) to join our dynamic anesthesia team at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, TX. As the Chief CRNA, you will play a vital role in leading and supporting our anesthesia department, contributing to the delivery of top-tier care to our patients.     In this key leadership role, you'll have the opportunity to: 

    • Collaborate closely with the Medical Director of Anesthesia and other healthcare providers to ensure the highest quality anesthesia services for our patients. 
    • Utilize your exceptional clinical skills and expertise to independently administer anesthesia for a variety of medical and surgical procedures. 
    • Lead and mentor our talented CRNA team, promoting a culture of transparency, positivity, and patient-centered care. 
    • Be actively engaged in hospital-based committees, ensuring that anesthesia services are represented and contributing to the overall healthcare environment. 
    • Demonstrate your proficiency in anesthesia-related procedures, in accordance with our facility's clinical privileges. 
    • Contribute to the development of staff schedules that align with our anesthesia service agreement.
