    The Work You Will Do:

    This is a full time, 40 hours per week, Other Personal Services (OPS) Chief Technology Officer position.

     

    The incumbent of this position fulfills the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO). The CTO reports directly to the Chief Information Officer to establish strategy congruent with business needs and with the goal of meeting the objectives of all Business areas in FloridaCommerce. The CTO is a technical executive leadership role and will be expected to lead and facilitate all cross-team collaboration and activities related to IT strategy, resource plans, policy and procedures. The CTO will be expected to support IT leadership and Executive Leadership by providing recommendations and guidance to ensure the implementation of FloridaCommerce projects.

    Your Specific Responsibilities:

    The CTO must, at a minimum, have knowledge and experience in both management and information technology resources. The duties of the CTO include, but are not limited to:

    • Coordinating and facilitating the strategies of department’s information technology.

     

    • Documenting department information technology procedures, guidelines, and standards so that the department is consistent with technology industry best practices and has well-defined policies and procedures.

     

    • Advising department senior management as to the information technology needs of the department.

     

    • Assisting in the development and prioritization of the information technology resource needs for the department’s business areas, information technology projects, and legislative budget request.

     

    • Assisting the department in the development of strategies for implementing the enterprise information technology services established in law and developing recommendations for information technology policies.

     

    • Performs other duties as required.

     

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Knowledge in both management and information technology resources.
    • Working knowledge and leadership setting strategy, governance, risk, compliance controls, training and aligning policy at a large private, public, defense, or government organization.
    • Working knowledge of high-level business analysis, project management, and project governance best practices.

    Qualifications:
