The Chief Compliance and Legal Officer (CCLO) will serve as the centralized point person for all compliance, legal and, internal audit functions across the agency. Working directly with all operational and administrative leaders for the successful execution and implementation of all compliance activities. As a healthcare provider and payer organization the CCLO will serve as a primary resource on Indiana and a secondary for Ohio for Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement. Will also serve as resource for billing, coding, and will serve as the agency’s HIPAA privacy officer. The CCLO is tasked with oversight and guidance to compliance processes by chairing the Corporate Compliance Committee. Responsible for legal advice and support in the areas of agency/corporate governance, commercial agreements, privacy and data security, labor and employment, marketing, and litigation and healthcare. Serves as legal review i.e., contracts and executive alignment with legal requirements. Position supports members of the Executive team in legal and compliance matters and works closely with functional leaders across the business.

This position requires a minimum of a Juris Doctorate from an accredited U.S. law school; admission in good standing to at least one state bar Ohio or Indiana. Preferably both. Medicaid background required for Indiana preferred for Ohio. 3-5 years of experience; prior experience in both law firm and in-house roles a plus. Education and/or experience in regulatory and compliance issues, healthcare, data privacy and labor and employment laws preferred. (Ohio & Indiana operations). Certified Healthcare Compliance certification a plus.
