  • Job Summary: 

    The Chief Information Officer (CIO) / Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will play a pivotal role in driving the Bank’s technological strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and fostering innovation to enhance TAB’s competitive edge in the ever-evolving financial landscape. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CIO/CTO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, overseeing all aspects of information technology (IT) and technology operations within the bank. The CIO/CTO is expected to have a sound understanding of the financial services industry and a strong sense of the fundamental principles of the business of banking. The CIO/CTO ensures the Bank's environments are secure and stable, commensurate with the best interests of shareholders, customers, employees, and the public. The position also performs supervisory duties of department leaders and staff as appropriate. 

     Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

     Strategic Leadership: 

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy in alignment with the bank's business goals and objectives. 
    • Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of cutting-edge technologies and solutions to optimize operational efficiency, improve customer experiences, and mitigate risks. 
    • Drive innovation initiatives to capitalize on emerging trends and maintain a competitive advantage in the banking industry. 
    • Technology Infrastructure Management: 
    • Oversee the management and optimization of the bank's IT infrastructure, including networks, systems, databases, and cybersecurity protocols. 
    • Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of all technology systems and platforms, adhering to regulatory compliance standards and best practices. 
    • Digital Transformation: 
    • Champion digital transformation efforts to enhance digital banking services, streamline processes, and promote a seamless omnichannel experience for customers. 
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement digital solutions that meet customer needs and preferences while driving revenue growth. 
    • Data Management and Analytics: 
    • Lead data governance initiatives to ensure the integrity, privacy, and security of customer data, while harnessing data analytics to derive actionable insights for informed decision-making. 
    • Drive the adoption of data-driven strategies and predictive analytics to personalize customer experiences, mitigate risks, and identify new business opportunities. 
    • Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management: 
    • Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry standards pertaining to information security, privacy, and data protection, ensuring the bank's compliance and resilience in the face of evolving threats. 
    • Implement robust risk management protocols and contingency plans to mitigate cybersecurity risks, operational disruptions, and other potential hazards. 
    • Engage with regulatory bodies regarding the safety and soundness of the Bank’s IT risk infrastructure, including oversight and monitoring of development risk, execution risk, performance risk and cybersecurity risk.  
    • Board of Directors Interface: 
    • Engage with the board of directors to provide regular updates on technology-related matters, including strategic initiatives, investment priorities, performance metrics, and risk assessments. 
    • Collaborate with board members to align technology strategies with the bank's overall vision and long-term objectives, seeking their input and guidance on critical decisions. 

     Requirements: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. 
    • Proven experience (15 years) in Seven plus (7 ) years in an executive-level position, out of which five (5) years in banking / financial sector.  
    • Deep understanding of banking operations, regulations, and compliance requirements, with a track record of implementing effective risk management and governance frameworks. 
    • Expertise in emerging technologies such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and data analytics, with a demonstrated ability to leverage these technologies to drive business outcomes. 
    • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences, including the board of directors. 
    • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, capable of translating vision into actionable plans and leading cross-functional teams to execute on strategic objectives. 
    • Demonstrated ability to build and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the technology organization. 
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) and memberships in industry associations or professional networks are desirable.
