Ensures flights are operated in compliance with all applicable FAA regulations. Being a Chief Helicopter Pilot schedules flight personnel, maintenance and maintains flight records. Assumes flight duty. Additionally, Chief Helicopter Pilot has all required licenses and meets flying time requirements. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Commercial Pilot license for helicopters - CPL(H). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Chief Helicopter Pilot manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. As a Pilot, you will be responsible for safely operating and navigating aircraft to transport passengers on a downtown Houston Tour with a narrative along the way. Responsibilities:
- Operate aircraft in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company policies.
- Ensure the safety of passengers.
- Conduct pre-flight inspections to ensure the aircraft is in proper working condition
- Plan flight routes, taking into consideration weather conditions and air traffic control instructions
- Communicate with Class B air traffic control and other pilots to maintain safe distances between aircraft.
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers, addressing any concerns or needs they may have
- Analyze flight data and make recommendations for improvements in efficiency and safety
Requirements:
- Hold a valid Commercial Pilot Certificate with R44 experience.
