Chief Helicopter Pilot partners with general aviation management to establish and implement operating policies and procedures for helicopter pilots. Ensures flights are operated in compliance with all applicable FAA regulations. Being a Chief Helicopter Pilot schedules flight personnel, maintenance and maintains flight records. Assumes flight duty. Additionally, Chief Helicopter Pilot has all required licenses and meets flying time requirements. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Commercial Pilot license for helicopters - CPL(H). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Chief Helicopter Pilot manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Chief Helicopter Pilot typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Survival Flight is accepting resumes for a full-time Helicopter Air Ambulance (HAA) Pilot position flying a Bell 407 at our base in Alva, Oklahoma.     Pilot Incentives:

    • Starting base salary $82,000 to $92,000, adjusted for experience
    • $15,000 sign-on bonus to be paid immediately upon completion of new hire training
    • $25,000 retention bonus to be paid out during the first 24 months of employment
    • 7/7 or 14/14 schedule, depending on location
    • Off-duty and away from base pilot housing provided
    • Annual aviation medical exam reimbursement
    • Mileage/per-diem/travel pay for work over shifts
    • $15,000 pilot referral bonus

    Required Experience:

    • 2000 hours total flight time (preferred)
    • 1500 hours of helicopter PIC time
    • 500 hours of turbine time
    • 100 hours unaided or 50 hours unaided with 100 hours aided
    • 500 cross-country time

    Preferred Experience:

    • NVG Experience
    • HAA Experience
    • Bell 206/407 Experience
    • ATP Certificate
    • Bachelor's Degree

    Education/Certifications:

    • Commercial Helicopter with Instrument Rating
    • Current class 1 or 2 medical
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
