We’re seeking a Chief Estimator with a focus on concrete and masonry, particularly in the NYC area, to join our team. We are looking for a driven and experienced individual to play a key role in our growing company.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret Structural, Architectural, and MEP drawings to perform quantity takeoffs using takeoff software.
• Read and interpret concrete specifications and Scope of Work (SOW) documents for the bidding process.
• Receive, analyze, review, and track all bid package exhibits.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure up-to-date pricing for materials.
• Attend pre-bid meetings as required and track all documents throughout the bid process.
• Prepare bid estimates, bid documents, construction schedules, and material takeoffs.
• Analyze new drawings to identify changes in contract documents.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Strong proficiency in estimating software for performing takeoffs.
• Advanced Excel skills to create complex worksheets, along with proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and drawings accurately.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience and Education:

• Concrete construction estimating experience is essential. Experience working with concrete structures from Mid to superstructure is preferred.
