Position Overview:
NexGen Flight Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Chief Pilot to oversee our boutique Part 91/135 management firm in Easton, MD. The ideal candidate will possess substantial flight operations experience domestic and international, a strong understanding of Part 91 & 135 regulations, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and efficiency. Preference will be given to candidates with extensive experience in Gulfstream GIVSP and/or Global Express aircraft.
Responsibilities:
o Provide leadership and strategic direction for all flight operations.
o Ensure compliance with Part 91 & 135 regulations, company policies, and safety standards
o Lead & manage a small team of pilots, fostering a culture of excellence, integrity & customer service.
o Perform flight duties on qualified aircraft.
o Develop and implement operational procedures & strategies to optimize efficiency, safety, and department growth.
o Coordinate with maintenance department and communicate in a timely manner to the scheduling department for mechanical repairs, planned inspections, and maintenance on our fleet.
o Organize and oversee pilot training and development, including the scheduling of initial and recurrent trainings in accordance with fleet policies and safety standards.
o Verify that all company and contract pilots are in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations.
o Support HR in the interviewing, recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of new pilots.
o Ensure aircraft documents, checklists, publications, and databases are current and up to date.
o Maintain accurate reporting & record keeping practices.
o Supervise flight planning, aircraft performance, and resource allocation for optimal operations
Requirements:
o Possess a valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
o Substantial experience as corporate/charter pilot.
o In-depth knowledge of Part 91 and Part 135 regulations and their application.
o Strong leadership and communication skills.
o Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
o Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic and customer-centric environment.
o Minimum 3000 hours total time
o Type ratings in GIV and BD-700 (preferred)
o Bachelor's degree in Aviation or related field (preferred)
o Resides or willing to relocate to within a 1-hour driving distance of Easton, MD
