Job Summary: Under general direction with a high level of autonomy, uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to promote the services of Financial One Accounting, Inc. (FOI) and oversee the day to day financial operations of client organizations. Identifies, fosters and develops meaningful revenue-generating partnerships; builds relationships and foundations for the company’s continued growth. Develops and implements fiscal policies, controls and procedures. Leads major projects, programs or processes with significant business impact involving cross-functional teams. Influences strategic direction and develops tactical plans and completes complex assignments with substantial latitude for un-reviewed actions or decisions. Provides comprehensive solutions to complex problems or needs.
Extensive contact with business prospects, senior leadership of client organizations, client and FOI team members is required to meet goals and objective.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Initiate, expand, and own the business relationship with existing and prospective client organization partners.
· Be the primary bridge between clients and internal stakeholders to both deliver services to the client and drive business requirements back into the organization.
· Help develop, expand, and refine ongoing service frameworks and programs.
· Act as a go-to internal expert regarding the financial operations of clients.
· Direct client engagements to ensure proper internal controls over client assets. May include internal financial statements, annual budget preparation, account receivables and payment of obligations, filing of accurate tax returns and other required external reporting documents, and other potential accounting related services.
· Manage day-to-day financial operations of organization including developing and implementing fiscal policies, controls, and procedures; revenue and cash flow forecasting; bookkeeping; processing payroll and accounts payable; and managing relationships and negotiations with vendors and financial institutions
· Prepares and delivers written and oral presentations to client board of directors, senior leadership and other involved parties.
· May direct and implement human resource functions, including personnel policies, benefits management, documentation and reporting, and related activities.
· Financial reporting and analysis of financial statements and performance against financial plans for all stakeholders.
· Thought partnering with clients to develop strategic, fiscally responsible financial plans including annual budgets and forecasting that reflecting mission priorities and sustainability.
· Improve financial literacy within client organizations related to financial policies, procedures, and best practices.
· Direct, plan and prepare for annual organizational audits performed by independent financial auditors, and other parties
· Ensure compliance with state and federal policies, laws, and regulations.
· Oversee banking and investments including financings, cash management and adherence to bank and debt covenants
· Provides technical leadership for work teams in specialized functional or process areas.
· Plans, assigns, monitors and manages the work of others.
· Reviews performance and evaluates results achieved by direct reports.
· Coaches and mentors’ direct reports.
· Interprets, applies and recommends changes to organizational policies and procedures.

· Advanced concepts, principles, and practices of generally accepted accounting procedures (GAAP), non-profit accounting standards and issues as well as non-profit tax issues.

Skill in:
· Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications, including Microsoft Office.
· Hands on working experience with accounting software systems required. Prior experience with Financial Edge is preferred.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:
· Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree
· Required Disciplines: Accounting, Finance or a related field.

· At least 10 years experience in a senior level accounting position with at least 5 years in a CFO capacity. Experience working in or with non-profit organizations and/or experience in public accounting is highly desirable. Prior Business Development experience is a plus. Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.

Hours: Normal business hours. Some additional hours may be required.
