Represents the organization to investors, the industry, and the public. Additionally, Chief Executive Officer - Physician Practice may require a MD. May require State License to Practice Medicine. Typically reports to a board of directors. The Chief Executive Officer - Physician Practice manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business.     1. Position Summary:

    • Establish and monitor internal practices and controls to safeguard Neighborhood Family Practice’s (NFP) financial assets and provide direction to assure financial stability and implement reporting standards and practices that reliably communicate financial results.

    2. Essential duties and responsibilities which must be performed in order to carry out the position purpose summarized above:

    A. Develop and implement standard accounting, analysis and reporting procedures. Prepare or oversee the development of all financial reports, statements, grants etc.

    B. Work closely with the Board and the Board Finance Committee to formulate and recommend policies on financial controls; implement Board and management policies. Prepare and present monthly financial statements.

    C. Oversee and direct the management of health center support functions including front office, billing, accounts receivable and information technology.

    D. Assure timely cash collections. Maintain a thorough knowledge of health care billing and managed care contracts.

    E. In conjunction with the Board Finance Committee and the Chief Executive Officer, direct cash management activities.

    F. Serve as an advisor to and consult with the Chief Executive Officer and seniormanagement on financial matters; monitor cash liquidity and provide trended analytical reports to provide meaningful management information; identify potential problems and recommend timely remedial action.

    G. Calculate and analyze financial ratios in relation to health center industry norms.

    H. Develop and recommend financial components for major purchases, new programs and construction projects.

    I. Establish and maintain NFP’s relationship with financial institutions.

    J. Prepare annual operating budget; monitor expenditures and analyze variances. Provide monthly budget to actual reporting by cost and revenue center.

    K. Work closely with the external auditors; assure timely and accurate preparation of audit materials. Report audited finances to Board.

    L. Direct and manage staff: select, hire, train, coach, counsel and assure performance. Evaluate departmental roles and structure to assure efficiency and effectiveness and provide professional growth opportunities where possible.

    M. Serve as a member of the senior management team, participating in the development of organizational strategy and policy

    Qualifications:

    A. Specific knowledge, training or skills required to perform the duties of this position. Specific concepts, courses, training programs or required certifications:

    • Master’s Degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred.
    • Broad, general business knowledge and healthcare administration.
    • Demonstrated leadership skills: coaching, team development, conflict resolution and goal setting.
    • Written and oral communication skills, including group presentation skills.
    • In-depth emotional intelligence: demonstrated self-awareness, accurate self-assessment, sensitivity and empathy, openness, reliability and consistency.
    • Familiarity with governmental (Medicare and Medicaid) and health care fiscalregulations, billing and reporting.
    • Computer proficiency: related accounting software.
    • Demonstrated decision making skills; demonstrated ability to recognize alternatives, evaluate relevant information and make timely decisions.
    • Demonstrated ability to achieve desired results through collaboration with strong team leadership and membership skills.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of risk management and compliance.
