Introduces and teaches new techniques to staff. Being a Chief CAT Scan Technologist maintains environmental, infection control, and safety procedures for the department. Typically requires an associate's degree. Additionally, Chief CAT Scan Technologist requires completion of radiologic technology training and American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) registration. Typically reports to a director. The Chief CAT Scan Technologist manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Job Description:
Perform Computed Tomography (CT) and CT guided interventional procedures under the direction of a qualified physician
Provide patient and family education
Operate equipment safely
Complete department documentation
Maintain all equipment to be clean and operational
Maintains adequate supply inventory for performing examinations
Job Requirements:
Education: Trade School Graduate - Radiologic Technology
License/Certifications: ARRT or CNMT required. Advanced CT registry in ARRT or CNMT to be obtained within two (2) years of hire (to include mergers and acquisitions).
