Chief CAT Scan Technologist jobs in Ohio
Chief CAT Scan Technologist oversees computer-assisted tomography and the maintenance of department supplies, equipment, and facilities to ensure the quality of services. Introduces and teaches new techniques to staff. Being a Chief CAT Scan Technologist maintains environmental, infection control, and safety procedures for the department. Typically requires an associate's degree. Additionally, Chief CAT Scan Technologist requires completion of radiologic technology training and American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) registration. Typically reports to a director. The Chief CAT Scan Technologist manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Chief CAT Scan Technologist typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. This 75 bed community hospital has gained acclaim for its extensive range of care programs, including stroke care, emergency services, neurology, heart and vascular services, radiology/imaging, surgical services, and wound care. The Hospital CT Technologist will work with state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging equipment in a supportive and innovative health care environment.
The ideal candidate for the Hospital CT Technologist position will possess a working knowledge of all fixed and portable Diagnostic Imaging equipment, specific specialty equipment in the designated area of CT, both the HIS and the RIS, as well as PACS and teleradiology. Additionally, they should maintain a valid radiographer license and hold an active A.R.R.T. registration as an R.T. While having a Specialty license in CT is preferred, it must be acquired within two years of being hired.
