Chief CAT Scan Technologist oversees computer-assisted tomography and the maintenance of department supplies, equipment, and facilities to ensure the quality of services. Introduces and teaches new techniques to staff. Being a Chief CAT Scan Technologist maintains environmental, infection control, and safety procedures for the department. Typically requires an associate's degree. Additionally, Chief CAT Scan Technologist requires completion of radiologic technology training and American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) registration. Typically reports to a director. The Chief CAT Scan Technologist manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Chief CAT Scan Technologist typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Engine Field Tech II is responsible for providing high quality repair service on equipment, in order to respond to customer needs in a positive, caring and timely manner and to ensure maximum value for work performed.

    DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

     

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    • Complete assigned jobs and task to meet flat rate times and re-do metric.
    • Complete related paperwork and access databases required to complete job (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW) accurately and timely.
    • Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, clean and inspect assemblies with minimal supervision.
    • Understand and apply CAT reusability guidelines.
    • Timely parts and core returns with appropriate documentation.
    • Perform warranty downloads of ECM.
    • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs and make all critical engine repairs and adjustments.
    • Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments.
    • Apply general failure analysis and procedures to determine proper diagnosis.
    • Accurate and timely service reports and timecards daily.
    • Perform engine and component rebuild with limited supervision.

     

    WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or suggest three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • AA in Applied Diesel Technology, preferred.
    • Knowledge of database software, internet software, manufacturing software and order processing systems.
    • Must be at least 21.
    • Proficient use of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, lap tops, diagnostic software and cranes and rigging equipment.
    • Product knowledge of gas, diesel, electrical, electronic, and mechanical and components.
    • Ability to provide accurate quotes.
    • Flexibility to work various schedules including shift work, required overtime and on call
    • Knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Manufacturing software and Order processing systems.

The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration.

    Required travel up to 40%.
