Chief Association Executive plans and directs all policies, objectives, and initiatives for an association, foundation, coalition, or other similar organization. Works with the Board of Directors to ensure all activities support the focus of the organization, including the development, promotion, and operations of the organization. Being a Chief Association Executive may serve as the spokesperson for and represent the association. May preside over board of directors/trustees. Additionally, Chief Association Executive may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a board of directors. Responsible for the development of functional or business unit strategy for the entire organization. Defines corporate vision and strategy establishes company direction and focus. The CEO reports directly to the president and board of directors, collaborating with leadership in identifying, creating, and implementing approved strategic plans for WCAR. This position will work in conjunction with the Member Services Executive to plan, organize, direct staff, oversee programs and activities for the association, assuring that objectives are attained, and member needs are achieved. Ensures that the board of directors and executive committee are fully informed of association conditions and of all important factors influencing them. REALTOR® Certified Executive and/or Certified Association Executive designation preferred or willingness to complete within first year of employment. Travel is required.
