Job Summary
The Graduate School is seeking a STEPS Admissions Officer to assist with the following:
- Maintain data in support of the Graduate School database and management systems
- Evaluate academic credentials for admission and scholarship eligibility
- Act as resource to departments to authenticate the accreditation of institutions and provide gpa calculations.
- Communicate with applicants and program representatives throughout the duration of the application and admissions process.
Advising applicants regarding program information and the application process prior to admission, providing ongoing advising and direction during the registration and enrollment cycles (post admission), and guiding international students with more complex admissions requirements, will also be the responsibility of the admissions officer, including working with international applicants both inside and outside the U.S.

In addition, the admissions officer will formalize department decisions by sending notifications from the application system, provide continued oversight to ensure students matriculation;
this may include deferrals, changes in degree and program, and leaves of absence. The admissions officer will also be responsible for collecting all official documents to satisfy the conditional admission requirement as part of post admission processes.
