We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Chemist within our Oxy Low Carbon Ventures Technology Organization based in Houston, TX. The Chemist will be accountable for developing and improving chemical processes to support OLCV activities under the direction of the Technology Development Manager. Roles and Responsibilities: · Utilize high-performance computing to create detailed simulations of and screen products from physicochemical processes. · Leverage cutting-edge technologies for product development. · Provide data reduction, multivariate data analysis, ML modeling, and statistical analysis. · Process and analyze experimental data using appropriate statistical methods to refine simulations. · Develop and apply specialized software tools for data collection, analysis, and visualization. · Collaborate with computer scientists to enhance software capabilities. · Collaborate with experimentalists to validate and guide computational simulations · Interpret statistical results to draw meaningful conclusions. · Communicate findings to colleagues and stakeholders. · Modeling and visualizing reaction pathways and exploring fundamental processes. · Create computer models of chemical reactions to understand kinetics and thermodynamics.
